West Windsor, NJ-Mercer baseball (26-10-1) beat CC of Morris (3-20) 22-7 in Game 1 of their doubleheader. Sophomore Mike Amrhein (Langhorne, PA/Neshaminy) had a big day at the plate going 4 for 5 with a double, triple and 5 RBIs. Sophomore Slade Harrill (New Egypt, NJ/Allentown HS) went 2 for 4 with a home run and 3 RBIs and sophomore Anthony Crudo (Point Pleasant Boro, NJ/St. Rose) had a home run and 3 RBIs.
Sophomore Jordan Raba (Hamilton, NJ/Nottingham) was 1 for 2 with 2 RBIs and sophomore Kevin Stewart (Burlington, NJ/Burlington Township) went 3 for 4 with a triple. Sophomore Lukas Mullen (Newtown, PA/Council Rock North) and Quaran Williams (Burlington, NJ/Burlington Township) each added an RBI in the win.
Freshman pitcher John Koch (Monmouth Junction, NJ/South Brunswick) moved to 4-2 on the season and struck out three in four innings. Crudo had two strikeouts in one scoreless inning of relief.
