Six Seven Stats

In honor of one of our “favorite” days 6/7, here are some fun six seven facts from each our sports teams this past year. 

 

In the fall in 6 games, women’s soccer player Julia Fillat Ferrer had 7 points (3 goals and 1 assist).  On the men’s soccer side, sophomore Javier Hernandez scored 6 goals and Deniz Karcher and Emilio Murguruza each scored 7 goals.

 

In the winter women’s basketball player Qui-Mia Wilkins had exactly 67 (that’s right six seven) assists in the season.  Men’s basketball player Joell Idrovo took 1 67 free throws this season, making 85% of those 167.

 

This spring, Slade Harrill led MCCC baseball in wins with 6.  Jordan Raba had 7 triples, which was fifth most in DII baseball.  For the softball team, Jozalyn Sheipe-Warthen had 6 triples this spring and Stella Logan finished the year with the 7 th best batting average in DII softball, hitting .532 on the season. 

 

Men’s tennis player Dylan Stemmer won 66.6 %, which if rounded up is 67% of his Singles and Doubles matches played this spring.  Women’s tennis player and Ariadna Acosta won 6 Singles matches while Julia Fillat Ferrer and Fathima Salman Al Faris each won 7 Singles matches this season.  And last but not least, men’s lacrosse player Joe Femminineo had 6 caused turnovers and 7 groundballs recovered this spring.

 

Six seven may eventually go away, but it gave us some fun stats to go through this season!
